The Kids fishing Derby was a huge success. There were over 400 kids and many beautiful trout were taken.
Stop in and say thanks to all the folks in your neighborhood that helped make this event a tremendous success. Sorry to say I was not able to be in 2 places at once so I do not have pictures of the winners, but as usual all the kids had a great time.
Grand Prize winner for 2009 is eleven year old Zachary Okesson, with a trout weighing in at 2.3 pounds.
Senior Division Winners
Age 12 to 15
Smith, age 12 and Joe Nelson, age 14 each brought in a 1 lb 14 oz trout and AustinTaylor, age 14 had a 1 lb, 9 oz trout.
Junior Division Winners
Age 8 to 11
Kelly St Martin, age 11 also had a 2.3 pound trout, Hunter Utley, age 10 brought in a 2.0 pounder and Brian Pozos, age 9 had a 1 lb, 11 oz trout.
Pee Wee Division Winners
Age 2 to 7
Jacob Catanzaro, age 6 had a 1 lb, 9 oz trout, Jason Wright, age 5 had a 1 lb, 7 oz trout and Blake Conrad, age 6 had a 1 lb, 6 oz trout.
The Hearts of Gold Band performed all day and treated the crowd with wonderful music.
Congratulations to all the winners and the rest of the "Fisher persons" on a great day. Remember next year's Derby September 25th, print out a flier and hang it on your refrigerator.
